Sweden has been though several protests after an extreme right-wing party got into the parliament last year. Several protests have also broken out after the previous election, when a socialist party, that has been ruling the country since the Second World War, lost the majority. Some say that Sweden is a country which social system and economy has been built of a socialist model. These protests have been carried out in highly immigrated suburbs with quite drastic means. Cars and building were put on fire and the police was struggling with calming it down. In a while, the protest turned nation-wide as many other suburbs started doing the same. The media was following the events, but very few of the reports gave the youth in these areas the chance to explain the reason for the protest. Some experts have stated that this representation has lead to a misunderstanding for people from these areas. The Swedish media has responded, saying that they haven't got enough sources, which is why they have not been able to give the voice to these youths. I come from one of these areas myself and have the access and trust of many people there. I was able to go there securely and get interviews about the protest, which gave me an opportunity to cover it and the outside reaction in an effective way. I was able to talk with people from both sides to see how the those within the protest understood the situation and how the ones from outside reacted to it.
